"Before my sighting family and friends noticed it approximately 3 weeks beforehand. I was ready to go out when my parents next door neighbour called us out to look. I hadn't seen it before so I started to query it. All of a sudden I had this urge to stare at it. Everything was blocked out, noise, people, and my surroundings. It seemed like a second when I jolted and started to cry. My heart was beating rapidly and I was numb and shaking. No one knew what was going on. While I was hypnotised it seemed to blur my vision and come really close. The next night I was wary but went to have a look. I got the sighting on my video camera. This night 5.4.91 we had friends over who we told about it. Chris O'Connor told me he could see everything exactly as I could. Looking through binoculars it's appearance seemed to be like a Mexican hat rotating with coloured lights. With the naked eye it's colour was orange, yellow, red with a blue aura. Sometimes when we watched it on video it had a dark shadow inside it. Another night while we watched it, it was very cloudy. we could see no stars but this light nearly outshone the moon. It was so bright. (The video camera couldn't pick this up)."

"I went fishing with my brother (Scott) his girlfriend (Kathy) my daughter (Sharon). My daughter and I were getting cold (the sun was setting), so we made out way back to the van. My brother and Kathy continued fishing. Sharon and I settled into the back of the van. I looked out across the water to the mangroves, then a bright light over the Glasshouse Mountains caught my eye. Being a skywatcher for UFOs (and not being granted a sighting) I kept watch on the object - it moved very slowly across/over the Glasshouse Mountains - once it passed across/over Mt. Timbrogagan it sped up a little. Scott and Kathy returned to the van at this time and I told them to look at the object. they looked and saw it. Scott turned to put a bucket down - Kathy and I looked and saw the object disappear QUICKLY - Scott looked at it but only saw a pinpoint of light - then it was gone. I had watched it for a long time, it moved slowly and disappeared so fast, I am sure it is a UFO."

"Together with my sister, Mrs.M.Leach, I was returning from Mapleton, north of Brisbane, and had come to the last stretch of road before the traffic lights at the intersection of the Bruce Highway, in which we were, and Beams Road. As we rounded a slight bend and came clear of the trees, we saw a number of dark red, but bright, lights spread out in no particular pattern, low in the sky ahead and slightly to the right, above The Holy Spirit Home for Old People on the right hand side of the road. My sister counted eleven of the lights and said that at least one moved slowly. Since I was driving it was not possible to watch them closely. We lost sight of them after about one kilometre of driving as we came close to Beams Road and the hill with the aged home got in the way. After another 20 - 25 seconds we reached a spot before Aspley where we could see the sky in a southerly direction, but it was totally clear of lights. I felt that the lights/objects were not very far, and could have been from 3 to 5 km distant, though judging the distance of anything in the sky accurately is difficult as I know from flying experience. Direction of the light/objects was close to south, which means that they were over the city. There was no twinkle to the light, and most of the objects were stationary. They did not appear to be fireworks or aircraft. The group could probably have been covered by a hand at arms length."
