MARCH 2005
ca.MARCH 2005 GWANDALAN, NSW SUNNY DAY (NL)

Richard has had numerous sightings and experiences. He related an experience that occurred several month ago on a nice sunny day. Richard saw an illuminous long-shaped object high in the sky. He studied the object for several minutes, all the time trying to convince himself that he was actually seeing this object. He couldn’t quite recall whether the object simply vanished or disappeared over the horizon. Movement was an erratic up and down, left to right motion. No wind. Richard said to me that numerous witnesses in the same location have seen this object on other numerous occasions. Conclusion: Unknown. Robert Frola AUFORN

On Monday 7th March, between 7am and 7.15am, Donna called me outside and we saw a shiny disc shaped object above the sun. It was travelling North to South on the Eastern horizon, it stopped, moved back Northwards and then South again before stopping dead in the sky. We viewed it through binoculars and it seemed to change shape from disc to round silver ball. While it was motionless in the sky three dark coloured airplanes approached it from North and South and both below and above the object. As the aircraft approached it suddenly shot off backwards and disappeared. Larraine Cilia UFORSWS

On 8 March 2005 at 2 am, Mr M. from Newington observed “I was sitting down by the lake near the Newington Estate. I was watching the water and something in the sky caught my attention. It immediately looked different to any helicopter or plane I’d seen flying over the area. The object continued to slowly move across the sky towards the left, over Olympic Park. It looked like it travelled over the Superdome and the Olympic Stadium then went over the horizon. It was mostly this shiny red colour, but had a pulsing white light on the top. It was kind of like a lighthouse in the sky. The white light seemed to circle around.”

The observer reports that he was at the Avalon Air show in March 2005, when he captured, on videotape, frames of what appear to be objects buzzing an F16 Falcon, which had flown at about midday or just after, and an FA18 Hornet that had flown about one hour later. The objects appear as white orbs in the frames of the video, particularly in those involving the FA18 Hornet. The strange thing about these pieces of footage is that he had not noticed anything unusual until about four weeks after the air show, even though he had watched the video numerous times at his home. On one Saturday afternoon he was showing it to friends, and that is when he noticed the objects.

On 12 March 2005, around 10 pm, the reporting observer was fishing with one other on the Wyangala Dam, which is relatively near Cowra, when they noticed the activities of an unusual formation of bright white lights in the clear northwestern sky, at an elevation of about 45-degrees above the horizon. What appeared to be four bright star-like objects silently travelling vertically past a stationary star, were giving the illusion of the stationary star falling between the formation of four brighter stars. The four could be seen for a good twenty seconds before disappearing from sight in the northwestern sky.

14.03.05 WOODBRIDGE, TAS 0414hrs (NL)
Due to health problems the witness is always up early. He noticed two big bright white-greenish lights just above a dip in the hills to the southeast. It was like looking at two headlights except there seemed to be some red on each side. The witness was puzzled by the lights and woke his wife to take a look. Soon after, the two lights suddenly went down behind the hills. A subsequent check on following nights found no stars etc. in that area to explain the event. Keith Roberts TUFOIC

Peter lives at Silverwater, on the Morriset East Peninsula, and was awoken at about 12.50 am on 27 March 2005 by what he thought were howling dogs. When he went outside he realised it was a party going on in a neighbouring backyard and noticed how full the moon was. After watching the sky for a couple of minutes, he noticed a bright object to the right of the moon, which at the time he thought was a star or planet. He then realised that the ‘star’ was more of a cylindrical shape and it moved across the path of a smaller star from right to left. He then got a pair of binoculars and focused on the object and could see a round object with what looked like pebbles inside it.

He decided to go inside and wake his wife to also witness the event and she viewed it through the binoculars, agreeing with Peter that this was no star! The object then went from the left to the right then to its original position when he first sighted it. Peter described that the object at arms distance would have been about the size of a twenty cent piece and in the 5 o’clock position with his index finger. When he and his wife went to bed at about 1.30 am, the object was still visible.

Peter served as a Merchant Seaman and had witnessed a couple of strange things at sea around 1982-1985 and feels that he confidently knows the difference between planes, stars, planets etc. He was very impressed that this call was followed up as he rang Telstra Assistance and told the girl he had just seen a UFO and what number did he need to call. She then connected him to the 1800 number and he left his message. When I phoned him, his first reply was ‘oh, you people are real!’ Kellie, UFOSWS
