"At approx 1000 hrs, one weekend in August, whilst at work, I noticed unusual clouds with a plane and jet trail in the morning glow, near the Hume highway and Liverpool hospital. A had my digital camera handy and took two shots with slightly different positions in the sky. I did not notice anything unusual in the sky at the time. On studying the photo's at a later date, I noticed two small white orbs together in the sky not far from the jet and trail. Upon inspecting the photo further I then noticed a third white orb in the picture away from the others. The second photo revealed the white orbs at different slightly different locations.

I have had several sightings of unidentifed flying objects in recent years

but dont report them often.

Tried to take a picture of my brother and his wife on a borrowed Kodak V550 digital camera at the entrance of the Redgum Art Gallery & Cafe in Lilydale. I couldn't get the flash to work, which is why I took the second shot. As you can see, the flash didn't work then either. I wanted to get the view of Mt. Dandenong in the background. I was in Melbourne for 4 days visiting relatives. I didn't notice anything at any time. When I got home I downloaded photos from the camera into my pc and emailed to my relatives. I was drawn attention to the UFO by my brother. It was a clear, mild day with some cloud and good visibility.

THE orange light was in the sky again on Tuesday night. A Taree West resident called the Times on Wednesday morning to report  what she had seen. She said it looked bigger than a garbage bag and that  it was "quite frightening". She had walked out of her house at around 8.30pm to 9pm and happened to see it in the sky. The object was over the hospital and then came towards the Taree West area, the flames coming from it clearly visible. While she said those sending the object into the sky might be having fun, the activity looks to be quite dangerous.

I was driving my Goods train from Dubbo to Gulgong dropping it off for the night.  At 6.45 pm we came to a place called Birriwa, which is south east of Dunnidoo. We had just passed through Birriwa leaving the town crossing the highway when we noticed just above the trees three lights one reddish one yellow and one white high up on the tree line, they looked like lights you see on top of towers, you know those reddish warning lights.

I asked my co driver P “have you ever seen them before” . He said no. We kept looking at them trying to workout what they could be. Then to our surprise the lights started to move towards us. I said to P, “those aren't lights on a tower mate.

The train was heading south and the objects appeared to have come from the south east in the direction of the Liverpool Ranges.

Steve said, “The middle light started to move up just above the two other lights. We thought what the heck are they.  They can’t be planes as they’re flying far to low around a 100 meters above the ground. When the middle light moved up independent of the other two, that’s when we realized these things were three independent separate objects.

They would have been the size of a 10-cent coin at arms length. One thing I did notice, they didn't fly fast like a plane, they moved slowly like a glider. I was in the RAAF so I know a plane when I see one and these were no planes. I said to P co driver, “these things are heading our way” so we flashed the train’s headlight at them so they were able to see the train was heading down the line in their direction, trying to get their attention.

Then I turned the headlight off for a moments to see if we could see any form to these things like a plane, but no, there appeared nothing solid holding them together, we just had to be sure. I turned the light back on flashed a few times but the three lights kept coming towards us. When the lights came parallel with the train track ahead of us the three lights passed though the beam of the trains light  around 40 meters in front of us. The trains headlight can casts a beam of light approximately 40 or 50 meters.

The objects crossed the track then headed West. We got a really good look at these things as our train wasn't able to move that fast around 40 kilometers as we had a full load and climbing up hill. All three moved close in formation, one almost behind the other, flying off in a Westerly direction towards Dubbo. Diane, I’ve heard the other drivers talk about these things but I never thought  I would be luck enough to have this experience.  Number of Witnesses: 2. "Sitting in my car leaving sisters house in Gosnells about 7:28pm my sister was putting my daughter in her car seat when my bubby pointed to a bright ball of orange light my sister thought it was a plane but after looking carefully at it it seemed to flicker like a flame or hot coal then my sister turned around a little bit more and saw another directly horizontal from the other but a foot apart from eye to sky, then another and another the same as before directly horizontal and perfectly syncronized, but the fifth was further down traveling a lot faster then the rest zig zagging in and out the clouds then dissapeared we watched the other 4 till out of view then 5 popped out about were the first one was then zoomed after the rest till out of sight over the darling ranges. I realised that they were heading towards my girlfriends friends house went to use my phone and it froze trying to call the number wieired but very true never seen anything like it before in my life." FOLLOWUP: I spoke to John at 6.30pm on Sunday August 18, 2006. John elaborated slightly on his initial report as follows;

The reported sighting was at 7.30pm on Saturday August 13, 2006. There were four orange dots of light like on a dice, in the same formation. Behind the 4 dots of light there was single dot of orange light maintaining a close formation. The single dot was about 500 metres behind the 4 dots. John and his sister viewed the objects for about 10 minutes before all five lights travelled in an easterly direction over the Darling ranges towards Kalgoorlie. They maintained formation throught the flight. John tried to use his mobile phone during the sighting and shortly after, however it (quote) 'froze on me'. John is a keen astronomer and regularly watches satellites and the International Space Station (ISS) in orbit. The lights that John and his sister viewed were like nothing he has witnessed before. John thanked me for the follow up. I contacted a colleague of mine at the Midland Police Station (vicinity of sighting), Sergeant Wade Adams to see if there were any other reported sightings made that evening. I am still waiting on a response.

In the evening of 15 August 2006, Maria and her sleeping children were turning right from the new Illawarra Road onto Heathcote Road, heading north, when she spotted a ring of neon lights in the sky. She called her 7 year-old son’s attention to them and said, “Look at that”. She could see them through the windscreen of her car and they appeared to be stationary, close to the tree line. As she drove towards them, she realised it was one object and the closer she got, the larger the object became in her field of view. She finally arrived at a point close to where the object was hovering and pulled into a lay-by on the left hand side of the road. It appeared to be about three metres long and a classic disc shape. At first, she thought it might have been a big remote controlled ‘toy’ or something to do with the army, as the road is the boundary of the Holsworthy Army Base. She suddenly remembered her camera phone and was fossicking around looking for it in the dark, as she didn’t want to put the light on or wake her baby. As she was doing this, the object moved over them and hovered above the car. At this point, Maria realised that hers was the only car on a desolate, unlit road and became scared. She gave up on looking for her camera phone and sped away. To her horror, the object continued to follow her on the left hand side for a distance of several kilometres until she finally reached the street lit area of the roundabout near Holsworthy Station. Maria veered right and the object travelled diagonally left over the house rooftops and she lost sight of it. Once she arrived at her home nearby, she saw it again hovering at the end of her street! By this time, she was ‘freaking out’ and realised, “It couldn’t have been a remote controlled ‘toy’ as it had travelled too far”. She bundled the kids inside and called her husband out to look, but it had already gone. Maria described the object as a classic disc with the dome on top with green, purple and blue lights in a ring beneath it. The lights were so bright she could see the shape but not the structure or texture. Her husband could see how distressed Maria was and heard from his son how they had seen “an alien spacecraft”. Maria’s son then drew a sketch of what they had seen. Maria’s husband totally believed them. Larraine Cilia AUFORN NSW

At about 11:20pm on the Tuesday night of the 15th of August, 2006, 3 security officers were beginning / ending shifts at the Bega township, Southern NSW. One of them looked up, asking 'is that a helicopter'' All three of the men looked up to see a bright orange ball of light to the South, seemingly high in altitude but low on the horizon. Then, the ball of light came closer, getting larger and brighter than amber street lamps in the foreground. At one point, the caller estimated the object to be no more than 300 m up and 300 m away. The object flickered a little around the edges. Then, the three witnesses, 'gob smacked', looked on as the object hovered motionless without making a sound. When the object finally moved away and receded, it finally petered out of sight.

The three guards talked about what they had seen and then went about their business. The whole sighting took some 15 minutes and the caller referred to their notes when recalling the times and dates.

At around 11:45, the nightwatchman telephoned the caller from one of the premises on his tour to say that the object 'was back', this time somewhat smaller and more distant. A little further to the eastern sky, the object finally 'went out like a light'. The caller logged the times as from 11:52.

11:55pm for this second sighting.
The caller has lived there all of his life, has been on the night shifts for some13 years and has never seen so much in the sky as in this one year. Dominic McNamara AUFORN NSW

Merryn and her partner were driving to Bordertown to spend the night with friends before heading to Adelaide the next morning. They had just driven through Stawell around 6.30 pm when Merryn, the passenger in the car, looked into the evening sky and saw a large object coming from the north. She described it as a huge oval-shaped object about 200 ft in circumference. It was white in colour and appeared to glow but at the same time was slightly blurred or misty. The under-carriage was not flat but concaved. She also noticed a black and white square pattern on the under-carriage.

The object came very close to the vehicle. Merryn stated that it was about 200 ft above the vehicle. The object hovered at one point but then started to follow the vehicle. Merryn said the object swerve from left to the right across the road and then up and down, occasionally disappearing into the clouds, whilst following them. Merryn stated that the object manoeuvred like a helicopter but flew like an noiseless F-18 fighter jet.

Both Merryn and her partner were getting very concerned about the object following their vehicle, so much so that the driver missed the turn-off to Bordertown as they drove through Horsham. They managed to find the road to Bordertown but the object was still following them. Merryn stated that the huge objected followed them to Bordertown. When they got to their friend’s house the object was still visible. She said that it followed them for more than two hours, from Stawell to Bordertown. They went into the house, but about five minutes later Merryn’s partner came out of the house and noticed that the object had gone.

Merryn’s partner believes he had a missing time episode during the time the object was following the vehicle. After he missed the turn-off he believes he lost at least half an hour. He can’t remember anything after that, and he can’t recall how he got back on the correct road to Bordertown. Merryn does not think she had a missing time episode and was very surprised when her partner said he had.

Since the UFO encounter on the 21 August 2005 she has seen UFOs on two separate occasions but did not go into detail about them.

Merryn and her partner are now true believers of the UFO phenomenon because of the close encounter with something that she believes could not have come from this planet.

FOOTNOTE:
Merryn told me that she had been drinking and considered herself drunk when she witnessed the UFO. I don’t know if her partner had been drinking, she did not say. They truly believe a large UFO followed them to Bordertown, but their encounter has to be viewed with caution because alcohol was involved. I believe they saw something but I don’t know how much the alcohol had affected them and their interpretation of what they saw. Jeff Fausch, AUFORN SA

Direction NE from location, Bunbury side of Busselton. No moon, dark night, initially a huge orange glow was seen, this was most unusual, and initially the couple believed the glow to be a fire. They estimate it was about 15 kms away. Size of the glow, was approx 2kms in width. This bright 'glow' seen by both members of the couple, both in their seventies.

Shortly after this, the woman went back outside, this time, she was alone and saw coming from the 'Ocean' side, two distinct saucer shaped objects, one following another, the size of each object was approximately the size of a jumbo jet, they both moved with speed, had no lights, and followed one after another and disappeared behind some trees, NE The glow gradually went then the sky went grey then totally black. (This discounts the 'fire' theory.)
• Bright orange glow
• No Lights
• Size of a jumbo jet
• No noise
• Colour :incandescent, silvery, were observed because their surface reflected the glow. The woman said if it wasn't for the 'orange glow' she wouldn't have seen them as it was a pitch black night.
• Like upside down soup bowls... with definite rim.

The woman was very disturbed by the sighting, and phoned the defence security authority and they told her to ring the police. She was not impressed. Mary Rodwell ACERN

Mr. O. states that all of this report surrounded sightings which began on the Previous Tuesday night, 22nd of September, 2006.

“I was having a cigarette on the balcony, I could see the stars in the sky and I thought one had moved. It appeared to be moving very slowly, cm by cm so I went down to the ground floor, but found it difficult to follow”.

“The next day, having taken no notice of the previous evening, I saw it again. Come the Friday, again I saw the same thing. The first time, I rang up several times including the support group at Regents Park. Peter from that group looked for about an hour, saw nothing and told me not to worry. On Tuesday night of this week, however, I was cooking in the kitchen when I noticed what I thought was a helicopter, but only about 10 m out and not making nearly enough noise! So I put my face on the window and a flash came out of this thing outside, red, with a blue colour all around it. I lost it in as little as 4 seconds. It moved in an arc. Once again, Peter at regents Park was called. He came outside and saw it. On the next day, Wednesday, at 3:30 in the afternoon, I was reading, the sun was out. I looked up and saw two reflections, far off. I was transfixed, but then they just went off, but about ten minutes later, I looked up again and saw it quite clearly and it actually looked like a pyramid, illuminated, 3 parts of it reflecting the light from about 100 m away or more. You could mistake it for a kite it had such a diamond like shape.”

Mr. O stated that his ears began ringing right through until Thursday morning. His family thought he was ‘losing it’. The witness was 35 years old and had lived there for two years. He has since stayed with his family and had sought medical opinions. He has seen nothing since. Dominic McNamara AUFORN NSW
