Wendy and her girlfriend were sitting on the verandah of her home in Eungella on 1 December, around 9.25 pm, when they noticed a light brightening and seemingly coming towards them from over the hill in front of her property. At first, they thought that a helicopter was approaching the area, but Wendy soon dismissed this idea as the object grew ever closer but made not one single sound. The two of them walked over to the car in the driveway and got a slight side on view as the object got closer. At this point the object, now glowing like an ember, came right over the hill, hovered directly over the house and began pulsating with a ‘breathing’ rhythm. The object hovered low enough to tell that it wasn’t anything massive like an airliner, but that it was more the size of a single garage hundreds, not thousands, of feet overhead. After glowing darker and brighter, it eventually died out and everything went black but nothing dropped out of the sky. During the entire episode, no sound was made. Wendy rang up and asked about us as she had no luck finding a number to ring Williamtown Air Base. About 40 minutes later, Wendy and her friend, who was staying over, decided to go to bed. Having walked to the corner of the house and over to the outhouse style toilet, Wendy alone saw the most brilliant blue shooting star flash right past the door not much higher than the object had originally been. She described a blue aura that trailed behind and no sound whatsoever. Wendy said that the original object had come from the direction of Casino, a township not far from her property. Andrew, his brother and two friends were at a boat ramp at Limeburners Pier, Geelong, overlooking the ocean and lights of the refinery plant. They saw a bright pink light hovering low around the industrial area, maybe 1 km away. It was a very strong nice pink colour that went really bright then started to turn around the light before disappearing a second later. Andrew thought it was hovering pretty low but couldn’t see an object, just the light. There was a full moon, which lit up the water.

On 9 December 2006 at around 8.20 pm, Leslie and her daughter were sitting outside their home in Sutherland, Sydney, when suddenly Leslie exclaimed, “Look at that,” and they rose to their feet as they watched a strange object floating overhead beneath the clouds. As they watched it moving westward, grey clouds could be seen covering the background sky. The sky was not yet ‘pitch black’ and this enabled them to see a black silhouette silently glide past at the speed of a domestic plane but without the sound. Leslie’s daughter was sure she could see a red light of some sort on the top of the craft and declared it to be “of more length than width”, cigar-shaped. Leslie (63) declared the ‘thing’ more like “a junk pile in the sky”. When queried over this remark, she said that the object was definitely solid and kind of “lumpy, with clear lines, [making] no sound and appeared to have definition of shapes all over” but she couldn’t think of anything to compare it with. The apparent size was of a large domestic plane at the same height below the clouds.

The clouds were drifting in the opposite direction at a much slower rate. The object travelled with purpose in a straight line and took about three minutes to cross the sky. At 10 pm Mark was conducting his regular sky watch for satellites from his home in Ashwood when he noticed a faint “cloud” passing near to Canopus. It seemed to be a small cloud but was moving pretty quickly from south to north. The night was clear and cloudless apart from this indistinct cloud with a pale glow. It seemed odd to Mark as it wasn’t windy enough to push the “only cloud in the sky” like that, so he looked through his binoculars (8-20x50) at it. He saw a V shape row of lights or two rows of lights. He watched this formation proceed past, until it had covered about 45-degrees of the night sky from his point of view. The lights in the rows were quite soft and seemed to be a little elongated, like small, narrow, vertical strokes. They weren’t bright but clear in the binoculars. There appeared to be more lights on the length of the V that seemed closer to him (maybe eight or ten) and less on the other side (five or six). The V was moving point first and what he took to be the closer limb was the lower limb. The spacing between the lights didn’t vary. He didn’t notice whether stars could be seen between the limbs of the V as it passed too quickly. The sighting lasted about eight seconds.

Mark’s first impression was that of an object not unlike the infamous Hudson River Valley object that appeared frequently in the US in the 1980s and 1990s.

The apparently size of the object was hard to gauge as it was impossible to judge its altitude, though it did not appear to be at the altitude of a satellite. It took up most of the field in the binoculars but, with the naked eye, was probably a little less than the spacing one observes between the stars in Orion’s belt.

Mark says he heard a jet engine at the time and watched a commercial jet pass from west to east as he observed the object. The two objects were separated by at least 60-degrees heading in their separate directions.

REPORT
Michelle has witnessed unexplained lights in the sky on three occations from her home at Mile End from the first week in December to the first week of January 2007.

Michelle can’t remember the exact day of the first sighting but to say it was the first week of December 2006. She had gone outside into the front garden for a break and a bit of fresh air; the time was between 2200hrs & 2300hrs. She was just gazing into the clear night sky when she saw two small red objects slightly smaller than the planet Venus in the eastern sky moving in a southerly direction at approximately 35 degrees to the horizon and were travelling slightly quicker than a commercial jet. Michelle described the objects as spherical in shape and appeared solid with no flickering lights and made no sound. She ran into the house to get a friend who was staying the night. They both watched the two objects together. After approximately ten minutes the mysterious red lights turned white and vanished into thin air.

 The second sighting took place during the third week of December 2006. Michelle could not remember the exact day. At 0445hrs Michelle had just got her baby to sleep and decided to go out into the back yard for some fresh air. She was gazing into the night sky when she saw a white object the size of Venus in the western sky travelling in an easterly direction in a straight line slightly slower than a commercial jet. The white object appeared to be sperical in shape, solid with no flickering lights. The object made no sound. She observed the object for two minutes before it passed directly over her house and disappeared.

The third sighting was on Wednesday January 3, 2007. At 0415hrs Michelle had just put her baby to sleep, she decided to go outside into the back yard for some fresh air. Again she was just gazing into the night sky and observed a white object slightly smaller than the planet Venus in the north-western sky travelling in a southerly direction in a straight line. It appeared to be travelling very fast, much faster than a commercial jet. The object was sperical in shape and appeared to be solid with no flickering lights. She observed the white object for two minutes before it passed directly over her house and disappeared.

Michelle went on to say there have been other mysterious things that have happened to her in the past month that caused her some anxiety.

In the first week of December Michelle woke up one morning to find a strange circular marking near her ankle, it was slightly smaller than a one cent coin with a smaller circle inside. She does not know were it came from. Michelle said that it looked like scar tissue but is certain she had never hurt her ankle. She found this strange marking around the same time she saw the two red lights in the sky during the first week of December 2006.

On Wednesday January 3, 2007 Michelle had a very disturbing experience. She believes she may have encountered some type of missing time experience. At 0115hrs she felt a presence in the house, she believes it’s was near the front door. From that time on she has no memory until 0415hrs. She stated that she did not fall asleep because during this time she rang her ex-partner to tell him the baby had eye infection and she wanted him to come over and take them to the hospital. She cannot remember making the phone call. The only think that she can remember is answering the front door at 0415hrs when her ex- partner arrived. She was curious why he had turned up at the front door at such an odd time. She was mystified when he told her that she had rung him up and talked for ten minutes. The only thing that she can vaguely remember is a dog barking at the front door. She does not own a dog and the closest dog to her is her neighbour’s dog that normally never barks. Michelle said that this disturbing experience took place the night before she observed the third UFO sighting, Thursday, January 4, 2007. Michelle is now thinking whether there is a connection between the missing time and the UFO sighting.

Michelle went on to say that her house is haunted. Since she moved into the rented house twelve months ago that was built in the 1940s. There have been strange going ons for the past six months. There have been doors opening and closing by them self’s. She has seen a white figure standing near her a number of times. She believes this is good spirit, when something bad is to happen the white figure would warn her. She also saw a male figure with a beard standing at the backdoor. She felt this was a very negative spirit. Michelle stated that she did a cleansing of the house herself and felt the house was much calmer. Michelle went on to say that the presence she felt just before the missing time encounter felt very different to the spirits in the house. She feels that this presence could have been extraterrestrial.

Interesting footnote to this interview:

Towards the end of the telephone interview with Michelle, she told me as we were talking, one of the baby’s toys had turned on by its self and started playing a tune, a few minutes later the same toy again started to play. This time I actually could hear it playing in the background. Michelle was addiment that she had not touched the toy and it was making her nervous. A second toy near the first toy turned its self on and started to make noises. I asked Michelle if these particular toy have ever turned on before on their own? She told me no and that they have to be touched to be activated and that she was a couple of metre away from them and had no explanation for what was happening in front of her. She was indicating that this could be connected to the paranormal happenings in the house.
