September 2009 Received on 25/09/2009 22:10:18 21.09.09 FORRESTER PARK (WA) 21:00 hrs Observation: I was looking at the sky, Near the Gacoyne river 60 kilometers south of Kumerina in W.A. The Milky Way looked like a rainbow, Reaching from one horizon to the other. Im often doing remote jobs through out Western Australia, and never seen the stars the way they were this night. I sorta spun around on my feet to get the rotation affect, like when you would when looking at a rainbow in the sky. I then saw a flash in the sky , like a strobe light from a plane. After looking again it flashed,and I could see it was at the height of an orbiting satellite. I yelled to my off sider , who was subcontracting to me at the time to check this out. We both watched it flash a couple more times, and then completely change direction and head the opposite way. Never thought I would ever see something like this.. Thought I would report this incident, Someone else in the area, maybe at a cattle station may of seen something.. Description: No, Sounds. The distance this thing must of travelled in 10 secs in geostationary terms must of been thousand of kilometers. Location: Kumerina. Western Australia. - Other Witnesses: Douglas Malcolm love. - Altitude: I would say in the geo orbit. It must have been. 35,000 - Object Origin: The object came from the east, Travelled in a easterly direction, before turning south for say 5 seconds, then travelling south west. It flashed around 6 times before disappearing. - Object Destination: South west. - Moon Visible: The moon was around 20 degrees in the western horizon. It was an 8th of a moon. - Moon Size Comparison: It was smaller - Planets Visible: Yes.. So many stars.. unbelievable. Weather Visibility: Clear, Effects Psychological: My thoughts were. (I cant believe im seeing this) Effects Other: Not really. I just discussed with Doug what we both saw. We knew it wasn't an aircraft, weather balloon,or Satellite. Effects Other Witnesses: Just a bit excited about seeing something as unusual as this.
01.09.09 PETERBOROUGH (SA) 18:45 hrs Observation: myself , two children fiance and a friend where sitting out the back of my house, it was a clear night with no wind , a bright full moon with a large green ring surrounding it, it looked strange but interesting to look at. At approximately 6.45 p.m. my 3 and a half year old daughter pointed to the sky and said daddy do u see the slow shooting star I replied, yes I do it was then that I realised it wasn't a shooting star because it had no tail and was moving to slow, the object I observed was star bright white moving, from west to east it maintained an altitude around 2.5 to 3000 feet its trajectory was dead straight with a estimate of speed at around 40 knots . Using part of my army training not to look directly at the object but at either side, I could clearly see that the object was actually tumbling through its trajectory it maintained this for another 10 to 15 seconds before it disappeared in to a bright yellow light needless to say that left us all stunned...white light tumbling no noise bright yellow light light disappeared Description: entire object was a tumbling white light it appeared to have points built in to its structure there was no noise coming from the object it was noted by the 3 adults present, at the time of the object disappearing in to a yellow light, a slight breeze appeared to sweep over us that was the only wind the whole night - Location: Peterborough - Other Apparent Size Other: opened laptop computer - Actual Size: half the size of a small family car - Altitude: 2.5000 3.000 feet - Object Origin: lower part of the sky from west to east - Object Destination: it disappeared in a yellow light heading east Moon Visible: it was a full moon early in the sky it also had a bright green ring surrounding it. - Moon Size Comparison: less than quarter - Planets Visible: yes - Weather Visibility: Clear, Pleasant, Calm. - Effects Physical: slight breeze after tumbling light disappeared into yellow light.
19.08.09 PETERBOROUGH (WA) 18:45 hrs Observation: Leaving mine-site. Pitch black night. Stopped the car at a T-junction. Looked left, right (as we all do when turning a corner), looked ahead to pull out then I noticed two bright red lights flying in a north westerly direction. They were in a low alt flight path. Spaced too far apart to be wing-tip lights from normal aircraft. And the direction of travel contradicts the angle viewable of the lights, i.e not perpendicular to path of travel. They were definitely two seperate objects. Both keeping a constant velocity and bearing during the witnessed event. Description: No changes. Just two constant velocity travelling orbs of red light. Note that the lights were larger and brighter, by an estimated magnitude of 30-40% than what would be expected of normal airplane lights seen from that distance. The other thing to note is that these lights did not flicker in a strobe fashion as normal civilian or military aircraft do. These 'glowed', as if they were 'humming' through light. They'd glow bright and dull, but not extinguish, then glow bright again. Each cycle approximately 5 second intervals. Location: I was leaving a mine-site roughly 35kms south of Kambalda, WA. Apparent Size Other: as below Actual Size: As I stated above. I could only see lights. Whether they were part of a greater object, I'm unsure. It would make sense if they were outer edge lighting of a greater object, as both lights were travelling as the same speed and their distance between never changed. If I had to estimate the gap/distance between the two lights, I'd say that it was in the order of 100m. Maybe more. Based on these estimated triangulation distances. I could then hypothesize a rough size of the red lights to be half the size of an average bedroom. (2-3m^3 perhaps?) Altitude: Estimated height. 1 km. - Object Origin: Flying in a north westerly direction. Bearing never changed during complete viewing. - Object Destination: - Moon Visible: Pitch black skies. - Planets Visible: No planets. Jupiter was still low on the Eastern horizon. Weather Visibility: Clear - Weather Comments: Calm, clear, pitch black night. Effects Psychological: Stopped having dreams for a month after the event.
17.07.1989 FAIRFEILD (NSW) 18:15 hrs Observation: We were approx half way between Cowra and Grenfell. There was no moon the sky was very dark. On the left side of the road I saw what I thought was a round house ie a circular band of lights broken in the middle. Shortly after I noticed a bright light in the sky in the distance which was still I thought it was attached to a radio tower after looking at it for a few minutes it suddenly moved straight upwards and out of sight. Location: Half way between Cowra and Grenfell - Other Witnesses: My husband saw the light in the sky but would rather believe it was an earthly phenomena. - Apparent Size: Star - Actual Size: no idea - Altitude: 10 storey building - Object Origin: Stationary for several minutes absolutely no movement then straight up into the sky. - Object Destination: Straight up. - Moon Visible: No - Weather Visibility: Clear, Cold, Calm. - Effects Physical: yes I felt strange paranoid hard to describe. My husband would not discuss it. - Effects Psychological: Spaciness is a good description. - Effects Other Witnesses: OTHER UNUSUAL EFFECT. - We went to S.A. and I remember my watch being on a strange time.
??.04.10 TOWNVILLE, GARBUTT (QLD) 02:30 hrs Observation: I went outside for fresh air as I couldn't sleep. It was a beautiful clear night and I was admiring the stars when everything suddenly seemed very quiet. I noticed out of the corner of my eye something blocking out the stars. It was barely visible as it had no lights and was completely silent. It was triangular in shape and as it moved across the sky it slowly changed into an oval shape. It looked quite large. After it changed into the oval shape it stopped and hovered for a Description: Yes, changed from being triangle in shape to oval. - Location: Garbutt - Other Witnesses: They wish to remain annon. - Actual Size: It seemed to be quite large judging by the star light it blocked out - Altitude: Around a 20 story building - Object Origin: North - Object Destination: South east - Moon Visible: Yes it was very bright - Moon Size Comparison: As it was very close it obviously seemed bigger than the moon. - Weather Temp: Pleasant - Effects Physical: Just excitement as would be expected. I did notice however the crickets or cicada's - everything, went quiet. Everything
26.04.08 TOWNVILLE, NORTH WARD (QLD) 02:30 hrs Observation: I went outside for fresh air as I couldn't sleep. It was a beautiful clear night and I was admiring the stars when everything suddenly seemed very quiet. I noticed out of the corner of my eye something blocking out the stars. It was barely visible as it had no lights and was completely silent. It was triangular in shape and as it moved across the sky it slowly changed into an oval shape. It looked quite large, about the size of a Hercules defense force plane. After it changed into the oval shape it stopped and hovered for a moment then just disappeared. I told my friend about it who kind of brushed it off until she saw the exact same thing at the exact same time, two weeks later.
10.09.09 WANDONG, (VIC) 21:00 hrs Observation: I have recently built a new home and still have to dress the windows, but I enjoy the views I have. One view overlooks the ranges to the east towards the Whittelsea area. I often see the lights of airplanes returning from Sydney and heading towards Tullamarine, but tonight whilst watching the TV my glance was taken by a red light that rose slowly above Description: No, none. Just how fast it moved. Location: At home, inside the house, initially - Apparent Size Other: Star at first to elongated flame shape - Actual Size: Initial red light was about as large as a car tail light in the distance. In relation to an airplane in the sky about the size of light when they have there high-beam on. The flame would have been, based on the distance away, about 50-100 meters long - Altitude: just above the tree line of the distant hills a couple of degrees - Object Origin: appeared in south east - Object Destination: to south west - Planets Visible: all stars were visible, with a planet vertically above me. unsure which. Venus, Jupiter, Saturn - Weather Visibility: Clear, Cold.
