August 2010 Received on 13/08/2010 14:49:25 11.08.10 SEVILLE GROVE (WA) 18.30 & 18.45: hrs Observation: We were driving away from the city, up Ranford road, towards Armadale. I suddenly saw straight ahead in the sky some lights, red, gold, and white. They appeared to be quite large and were blinking off and on. It didn't look like a plane. As they got closer, nearly right over the top of our car, I saw that the craft was like a standing up V shape, except one side of the V was higher - the right side, and the lights were on each tip of the V shape. When one side was lit up, the other side was off. The time duration of the lights changing sides was about 1 second, it was quite fast. The other thing that caught my attention was the lights on either side of the V were moving in rotation while they were on, like clockwise direction. Also, the craft had no lights on the bottom but had an inner illumination that made it visible to the eye. The craft went over the top of our car and to the car's left and in the direction of Forrestfield or the airport. I couldn't hear any noise from the craft, and it was a cloudy night, it had recently been raining but wasn't at the time. I watched it from the car window (passenger side) until it got quite far away and the lights were hard to see. We got home about 6:45pm and I could no longer see it. Description: It was shaped like a V, but the right side was higher (I have a picture that I have drawn as an attachment). There was an inner illumination, and each top of the side of the V had lights in red, gold and white that went around in rotation in a clockwise direction. It seemed to fly straight up Ranford road and then crossed over and flew in a straight line towards the airport. There was no audible noise. The lights changed sides every 1 second duration, so the lights rotated on one side for a second then blinked off and rotated on the other side for a second and so on. Location: Driving down Ranford Road, Canning Vale. Heading towards Armadale. Other Witnesses: My husband who wishes to remain anonymous. - Apparent Size: Dinner Plate. - Actual Size: I think it was very large, when I first saw it from a distance, in front of the car, it seemed like it was half a dinner plate in size and when it got closer it seemed much larger. - Altitude: I would say it was about as high as a 6 story building. It didn't seem really high but didn't seem as low as some commercial airliners I have seen coming into land that way. Object Origin: It came from the direction of Armadale, towards the city, but crossed over Ranford Road near Livingston Marketplace and then headed in a straight line towards possibly Forrestfield or the airport. - Object Destination: Forrestfield, the airport. - Moon Visible: I couldn't see the moon, the sky was covered in clouds. - Planets Visible: No, it was cloudy. - Weather Temp: Cold, Cloudy. - Weather Comments: It had just stopped raining about 10 minutes before I caught sight of the object. - Viewing Aids: No 13.07.10 AFFORD, PORT PIRIE (SA) 17:10hrs Observation: unusual looking, I often look in the sky for we generally have passenger jets go across the sky, and I like to observe their flight for a minute or two. I was walking to the car which is under the car port when I browsed up at the moon, and I noticed a bright reflection of what I thought was a plane, I walked on to the car and put my guitar in the boot,then went back for another look and noticed it had moved a long distance from where I saw it and it was only 15 seconds or so that I lost sight of it while under carport.This took my attention,Igot my binoculars and had a closer look. This was a very odd looking craft, and it appeared to just hover in one spot so it got the better of me, so I got the camera and took 4 or 5 photos which when blown up on the computer are quite interesting.I took shots until it got dark, which was a matter of app. 25 minutes, dark clouds started to blow through when i lost sight of it,but the photos prompted me to forward my sighting. Apparent Size: Pea-Sized - Actual Size: As big as a normal jet aircraft. - Altitude: Initially lower at say 5000 feet, then when it moved say 20,000 - 30,000 feet. - Object Origin: From the west moving to the north. - Object Destination: uncertain was cloudy. - Moon Visible: Initial sighting was just as dusk was approaching, then as sky darkened moon was visible and UFO was bright like a star. - Moon was to the west of UFO, it was only 1/4 moon and it was dull due to cloud cover: - Moon Size Comparison: 1/4 moon was huge compared to UFO. - Planets Visible: No, sky was clear of stars this night. - Weather Visibility: Clear, Cold, Cloudy. - Weather Comments: clear then cloudy as weather moved in with night. 13.08.10 NEWELL BEACH, MOSSMAN (QLD) 18:30hrs Observation: Just parked car, on dark, walking to the restaurant with rob to have dinner with friends when I looked over the road and saw a trail of white, orange and red light. I said "look at that" and we both saw it trail to nothing just above building height. Description: The shape of light is hard to explain, similar to an umbrella with the light underneath, if that makes sense and moving very fast. - Apparent Size Other: The like a basketball sized at least. - Altitude: Just above building height it disappeared into nothing. - Object Origin: North - Object Destination: South. - Moon Visible: Not in the direction I was looking if at all. - Moon Size Comparison: same size???? - Planets Visible: not that i noticed 28.08.10 CANBERRA (ACT) 19:30hrs Observation: I realised there were several extremely bright lights; unusually bright so I called my sister over to ask what she thought; we agreed they weren't planes or stars because they were lower than the clouds, half a hour later I realised they had "moved" around so I took out a camera and took second by second photos showing the same place with different lights and a object traveling so fast; I took several photos all in the same position... and then called the local police who which said they would contact the airport to see if they had found anything on the radar. The next morning I went outside at 5am with my brother to see if these bright lights where still there; which they were. Within 5 minutes of being outside 3 of them flew to the other side of the sky and disappeared. We could not believe it. The next night only 3 of the bright lights were still there, I did record them however the last one I had gone to take a photo of had vanished. Today on the 31/08/2010 the bright lights have vanished; leaving me with photos, videos, 5 witnesses & a once in a life time experience. Description: as above at 5am the next morning they shot across the sky and disappeared. - Apparent Size: Star. - Altitude: below the clouds. - Moon Visible Yes the moon was right of it. - Moon Size Comparison: half size. - Planets Visible: yes. - Weather Visibility: Clear. - Weather Comments: Night time. - Viewing Aids: dozens of photos & Video. 0?.04.08 SAWTELL, COFFS HARBOUR (NSW) 16:50hrs Observation: When letting my dogs out for a morning run, still very dark at that time I witnessed a strange star like object moving in the southerly direction and moving similar to that of a fly. It would zig-zag around,perform circular movements and become out of sight. I laughed and thought I was seeing 'things'. Another time in the same residence about 10.2009, I saw a display of moving stars that were not what I have ever seen before. Three stars in total moving north/east, moving in a zig-zag direction so fast and so bright I have been haunted by it ever since. This display was like nothing I have ever seen. Description: Zig -zagging. Circular movements. No sounds. - Apparent Size: Star.- Actual Size: I cannot estimate. - Altitude: very high. - South East. - Object Destination: North East. - Moon Visible: unknown. - Moon Size Comparison: star size. - Planets Visible: yes and then no. - Weather Visibility: Clear, Mild, dawn/pre-dawn. 31.08.10 LAUNCESTON (TAS) 23:15hrs Observation: I had to drive to Hobart to pick my girlfriend up. Driving conditions were not good as it was very windy at times and raining. I'm not 100% sure if the sighting was before or after Cleveland, but basically I was driving on the highway with clear paddocks (no trees) on both sides of me. In the distance, I could see a reddish light, which I first assumed to be the red rear light of another car further "up the hill" ahead of me. But as I came closer, I realised that it was stationary red and blue light hovering about 35 metres or so above the ground in the paddock to my right. It was also using a very bright spotlight to scan an area of ground in the paddock on the opposite side of the highway. It was moving the spotlight fairly erratically and there was nothing to be seen in the paddock. Just a circle of light and a clear beam of light through the rain. I slowed down to about 40 - 50 kmph as I passed it, and the blue and red light turned into a solitary green light. I half expected it to turn the spot light upon my car but it did not. I was going to pull over to take a photo - but did not have my camera with me. I was tempted to stop and wind down my window so that I could hear whether it was a helicopter or not. (What a helicopter could be doing at 12:30 in the morning spotlighting random areas in a paddock is beyond me...) I continued to drive, and checked my rear vision mirror occasionally and could still see that it had not moved and was still moving the spotlight Description: I could not see any shape of the craft/object, just a red and blue light which turned into a single green light when I was closer to it. The spotlight did not seem to be moving in any real pattern or order. - Location: Either before Cleveland on the Midlands highway or either after Cleveland... I'm almost certain it was between Epping forest and Cleveland - where the trees begin to taper off into the empty paddock.. - Other Witnesses: I was the only one in the car, but there were other trucks and a few cars on the highway at that time. Apparent Size Other: no way to tell - it was too dark and could only see the red and blue lights and the spotlight. - Actual Size: I'd say because I was very close to the lights, I'd assume that they were no bigger than the lights on a car or aircraft. - Altitude: It would only be a little higher up than a roadside telegraph pole. - Object Origin: It was motionless but it was not absolutely stationary ie it was hovering. - Object Destination: It stayed in its position until I had driven out of sight. - Moon Visible: I Could not see that moon at all last night - it was an extremely dark, wet, cloudy and windy night. - Weather Temp: Mild, Windy. - Weather Comments: Cold, Cloudy, raining, windy. |
