Observation: I observed a bright orange light out of my window which I initially thought was Mars but more orange and larger than Id ever seen before. I went outside it was slightly larger than the largest star in the sky, but it was orange. It was very high. I couldn't see it any clearer with 10 power binoculars. During my observation of it a small plane flew between it and us (not directly though). It was much higher than the plane. It was initially moving very slowly from west to south at about 45 - 50 degrees off the horizon. It occasionally appeared to move a short distance very quickly. It eventually became stationary at about 1 and a half hand span west of Celestial South pole. Its brightness/size varied erratically, occasionally there were glimpses of red. After about 5 minutes, in the space of 30 seconds its angle got higher, and it got smaller to the point where it disappeared. I tried to film it but my video couldn't pick it up.

Apparent Size: Pea-Sized. - Actual Size: Very hard to say, it was bright and high. It could have been the size of a car... - Object Origin: West. - Destination: South, Planets Visible: Yes, Clear.

Observation: The UFO sighting happened in the area of Mount Waverley. I reported the sighting to the Mount Waverley police station at about 6.20pm and the Officer, Mick A said he had just received another report of the same kind prior to my call.

The object was circular bright blue and white light that streaked across the sky at about the height a helicopter would fly. It was very fast and left a very large blue streak in its wake. It stopped abruptly and disappeared. Then there was just a large white light in the sky, which was stationary and was not a star as no other stars were visible at the time.

Approximate time of occurrence. 6.05pm 5/7/10 while I was driving on Blackburn Road crossing Highbury Road. I called the police constable again, and he had received another 2 reports of the same, a total of 4 reports by 7.15pm

Description: No sound I was driving in peak hour traffic. The blue an white object streaked across the sky for a few seconds only but the bright white light was visible for a few minutes or until I drove out of the area. - Location: Cnr Blackburn and Highbury Roads, Mount Waverley. - Other Witnesses: No one else was with me but Police Constable Mike received three other calls. Glen Waverley and Mount Waverley district Police station. - Apparent Size: Pea-Sized. - Actual Size: One was much larger than the other, the bright white light was big and the blue streaking object was about the fifth of the size of the bright white light. - Altitude: Approximately, the height most helicopters fly , 1,000 to 2,000 feet. The blue light was a bit lower. - Object Origin: The blue light streaked from the East to the South West. - Object Destination: The blue object disappeared over the region of Mount Waverley/Burwood. - Moon Visible: Moon not visible from my point of view to the objects. - Moon Size Comparison: Large white object a tenth of the size of the moon, blue object one fifteenth of the size of the Moon. I think. - Planets Visible: No stars were visible at the time of occurrence I checked that carefully. Stars started appearing 5 mins after sighting. It was just getting dark. - Weather Visibility: Clear, Cold, Breezy.

Observation: I was on my back deck around 7pm & looked up directly northward & saw what looked like a very bright star (around the size of a 5 cent piece) held directly at arms' length. I often see flashing & moving lights at night as we are close to a flight path & I can determine from the height if they are tracking north to Brisbane say or coming in to land at Williamtown. This was different though, for starters it was large - as I mentioned above & it wobbled a slightly - which is probably what drew my attention to it.

It appeared to be at a height of most commercial passenger' jets fly at 30,000 feet - but just wobbling. It then seemed to drop towards me slightly - then shoot off directly into space - it disappeared like a bullet. From a 5 cent piece size to a pinhead & then vanish in about 3 to 4 seconds.

We have a RAAF base nearby & are familiar with some of the fighter jets they have, but nothing could come close to the speed this thing moved at?

No sound.- Apparent Size Other: 5 cent piece sized. - Actual Size: at 30 to 40,000 feet - who knows? 3 times a wide as a jumbo, but round?. - Altitude: 30 to 40,000 feet. - Object Origin: Directly north & 70 degrees?. - Object. - Destination: same - just outwards into space. - Moon Visible: there seem to be a full moon last night - but we had patchy rain clouds - this was a break in the weather when north seem to clear for an hour or so. - Moon Size Comparison: 1/8 I would say. - Planets Visible: a few stars were visible, but they were very small in comparison. - Weather Temp: Cold, Cloudy, Breezy. - Weather Comments: clearing showers.
