There was Buzz Aldrin revealing that the Apollo craft was ‘accompanied’ all the way to the moon by some object the crew could not identify. They wondered if it was the ‘S-IVB’ and asked mission control where the ‘S-IVB’ was, only to be told it was some 6000 nautical miles distant.

This event is a major breakthrough, and is worth looking at. If you have internet access, go to ‘www.youtube.com’ and search for ‘Aldrin and UFO’, and watch the 10 minute report.

Another breakthrough was the ‘Haut Affidavit’ read posthumously at the Roswell 60^th Anniversary event in Roswell, New Mexico last July. Walter finally admitted to seeing the bodies of the creatures from the craft, in a hangar at the base in 1947.

There has been a very recent addition to this list of important UFO cases. By now everyone should have seen the NASA footage from STS 80 and other missions as revealed by Martin Stubbs about a decade ago. These historical film clips can even be bought in DVD shops these days under titles such as “ NASA UFO FILES” etc. One of the astronauts aboard the shuttle and obviously present when filming the amazing STS80 footage was Dr Story Musgrave.

Musgrave is an amazing person, highly qualified and extremely intelligent. He even collects Degrees as a hobby. At last count I heard he has about 25 different scientific qualifications.

Some years ago, Musgrave was in part of a documentary on space travel, and he was asked about his views on the possibility of alien life elsewhere in the universe. I remember being disappointed with his reply at that time which was very dismissive. I felt he knew more than he was saying, and that he was ‘toeing the line’.

These days, Musgrave gives lectures on astronomy and space travel. He apparently ends his lecture with a photograph of a typical ‘grey alien’, and then states “ these guys are real, I guarantee it!”

So that is another breakthrough. For more details, see the article from the “Alien seeker News”, reproduced at the end of this column.

Getting back to another familiar case closer to home, a couple of years ago I was given a copy of a South American UFO documentary on the Valentich case. In this documentary, they use a graphic of a running reel to reel tape recorder while playing the voice of Valentich as he spoke to Melbourne Airport.

Of course that got me wondering if it was the genuine recording or a mock up. What really amazes me is that if it was a mock up those South Americans did a fantastic job because they have managed to get the voice of someone who grew up in Melbourne’s western suburbs in the seventies. You know what I mean, that authentic sound of a son of a “New Australian”.

I sent Bill Chalker a copy to see if he could make a positive identification, as he has recounted that he heard the genuine tape at the home of Dr Richard Haines, ex NASA employee. Bill was not able to make a definitive identification.

I then had an idea.

In the late 1990’s Dr Richard Haines came to Melbourne to lecture on UFOs and aircraft. At the time , there was mention of the Valentich tape, and there was apparently the possibility of the tape being played again. It never happened, someone in the VUFORS heirarchy requested that it not be played.

I was very annoyed that this happened, as it is a part of Australia’s UFO history, and I think Australians should have access to such historic archives.

The situation is that Dr Haines has the only surviving unedited copy of the transmitted voice recordings.

Should anything happen to Dr Haines, this important recording could be lost forever.

I have sent Dr Haines an email requesting that he record it as an mp3 and email it as an attachment to Bill Chalker, and several other researchers so that Australian UFO researchers have a part of their history restored to the archives.

This was about 6 months ago, as yet I have heard nothing. He is a very busy man, lets hope he decides to do the right thing for Australian UFO history archives.

Famed NASA Astronaut confirms

Space Shuttle Columbia during STS-80 took a crew of five astronauts into a 17 day, 15 hour and 54 minute mission around the earth, the longest flight in the history of this vehicle. During this lengthy flight a very strange event occurred that even had crewman Dr. Story Musgrave unable to explain what he observed from the shuttle windows.

A large disc shaped object appeared below the Columbia. The shuttle was approximately, 190 Nautical miles high.

The disc was first observed to miraculously appear from out of nowhere, flying through the clouds below and progressing from right to left as the astronauts stared in utter amazement. The outer rim of the craft appeared to be rotating counter-clockwise. It was very large (compared to common space junk and breakaway ice), approximately 50 to 150 feet in diameter.

Astronaut Dr. Story Musgrave, a Payload Specialist on the STS-80 Mission, was interviewed following the flight. As he viewed a videotape of the incident which showed lightning flashes in the atmosphere, the city lights of Denver, Colorado and other earthbound sights, he stated: "I don't know what it is. Whether it's a washer, debris, ice particles, I don't know. But it's characteristic of the thousands of things which I've seen. What is not so characteristic is it appears to come from no where. You would think that if it's facing the dark side or facing a side towards you which is not reflecting the sun, you would think that you would see something there. It's really impressive."

During an earlier interview, Dr. Musgrave stated he attempted to communicate with ET life forms during each of his six missions. He actually asked them to take him with them. Now that's an astronaut with a lot of courage. Dr. Musgrave retired after this flight from NASA. Since then he's been spreading his considered opinion that alien life exists. When Musgrave speaks of this, it's no great leap for one to assume he's admitting knowledge of alien life. As the final slide of a "Grey" ET was shown during a recent astronomy presentation by Dr. Musgrave, he made this surprising comment: "These guys are real... I guarantee it!" Dr. Musgrave does know the truth. This author guarantees it!

Consider that carefully. These are world renown scientists making statements almost beyond belief. Dr. von Braun and others of his stature have the courage to disclose "sensitive" information, but obviously the leaders of the USA and the world do not. If billions could find a way of coping with the overwhelming threat of atomic annihilation for half a century, it is reasonable to assume we can cope with the knowledge of these "Other Intelligence's" from the stars. We can cope with the fact they are visiting earth, and have been since the beginning of history. We must. Those still asleep must open their eyes. We Are Not Alone.
