1890s NORTH WESTERN AUSTRALIA DAYTIME (CE2)
(Source: 1800 Freecall National Hotline Number - Callin Code: 01494c)
This elderly lady also wanted to mention a story her Father told her when he was alive. He was a Bushman, his name was Jack. He worked in the North-Western part Australia and used to use a Dray (bigger than a Cart) and four horses to cart things around. One day he was plodding along when he saw this light coming straight towards him, just before it reached him it separated into two lights which flew separately either side of his horses. The horses were scared and started going out of control. He did not see what happened to the lights after that as he was trying to calm down his horses. This took place during the daytime in the 1890’s. Can’t blame human techology at least for this event. Beryl said he always wondered what it was and said it seemed similar to the stories he’d heard about Min Min Lights. Karen Burden AUFORN NSW

1963 GOSFORD (SPRINGFIELD), NSW 0430hrs (CE1)
(Source: 1800 Freecall National Hotline Number - Callin Code: 01494a)
Beryl wanted us to know of an incident which took place in 1963 at Springfield, Gosford. Her husband left for work on foot at 4:30 am and headed for the Gosford Train Station. She usually saw him off by watching him walk up the Road until he was out of sight. Beryl noticed an object hovering above her husband as he was walking, it was cigar shaped and seemed to illuminate a green colour which she says is difficult to discribe. She also noted the ship had square windows, but can’t remember exactly how many. The ship seemed to be moving along with him as if following him up the Road. He was heading down Headland Pde and turning on to Wells Street when the object seemed to just disappear. She said it was as big as a bus in length, but not the same height as a bus, more slender. Beryl said it followed her husband for a few minutes. When her husband arrived home from work he said he saw the object as well and said its engines sounded like a generator; a sort of humming. Apparently this particular UFO was noted in the paper by a Fisherman’s Wife who was asking witnesses to come forward. Beryl and her husband did’nt come forward, but they are now. 1963 GOSFORD (MT ELLIOT), NSW 0430hrs (CE1)
(Source: 1800 Freecall National Hotline Number - Callin Code: 01494b)
Beryl also wanted to mentioned an incident that took place during 1970. They were living in another part of Gosford at that stage. She heard a noise in her backyard and went outside to take a look. She lived at the bottom of Mt Elliot on Clyde Road, Erina. When she went outside she noted that the top of the Mountain was all lit up, like a fire, but not a fire. There were other witnesses to this event, she stated it was mentioned on Radio, but was soon forgotten - too quickly in her opinion. Karen Burden AUFORN NSW

1983 SEVEN MILE BEACH, TAS Night
(Source: Tasmanian UFO Investigation Centre)
Although an old report the case is of some interest due to its similarity to other reports over the years. About 11pm the two witnesses were returning home along the road to Seven Mile Beach. Just short of the town a bright silver/white soccer sized ball of light appeared alongside the passenger’s side of the car. As the driver slowed down or sped up the light which was only meters away maintained its position. The ball stayed with the car for about two minutes before it ascended up at angle into the sky and disappeared, it did not fade out but just was out of sight in a second. Paul Jackson TUFOIC

1988 SYDNEY (BLACKTOWN), NSW (NL)
(Source: 1800 Freecall National Hotline Number - Callin Code: 01018)
John rang in regard to an incident that happened around 12 years ago. He was gardening in his backyard at Blacktown during the day. It was either during Autumn or Spring, he cannot recall the time line. John was leaning on a rake when he noticed a ball of light in the western sky, he stated it looked like a star and was electric blue. It commenced moving to the East for a few seconds then gradually turned to go North. He then went inside to get his wife. When they came back out it was back near the position where he first saw it. But he said it was bouncing up and down and moving like a ‘song ball guide’ for about a minute. He said it looked very strange indeed doing that, it even looked bigger. It then proceeded to go North-East and slowly ascended then all of a sudden took of like a bullet.

He always thought what he saw was strange, but was not sure whether to report it or not and if so, who too! Karen Burden AUFORN NSW

FIRST HALF OF 1999 SYDNEY (NORTH SHORE), NSW (CE4)
(Source: 1800 Freecall National Hotline Number - Callin Code: 01513)
Laura stated that one night around 2 to 2.5 years ago, she woke up during the night and attempted to look out of her bedroom window. She could usually notice lights on the stairwell of the block of flats across the road, but this night the lights were not visible. There was mist everywhere. Laura wiped a section of the window as there was condensation on it. She noticed a figure was blocking the stairwell lights; a round black ball shape with a vertical band around the centre which protruded out, just hovering there. It was level with her window view, as she looked at it, it moved off to the right. She ran out of her room to the balcony door to open it and get a better look. Laura doesn’t know if she opened the door, apparently she found herself standing in the lounge-room away from the door and wondered what had happened. She immediately went in and checked on her son. She noticed dawn was breaking and wondered where the time had gone; it was pitch black one minute and dawn the next.

The next day someone mentioned to her that she had five small evenly spaces holes between her eyes, it took three days for them to go away. After they went away she woke up one day with four evenly spaced holes between her eyes in a square formation. Since this event took place she is having instances of possibly getting out of bed, getting dressed and going places during the night, but doesn’t know for sure. Laura stated she has the preoccupation of thinking about alien life forms, space etc and occasionally is having what I would call flashes i.e of being in other places etc.

This reportee is a bit worried so I have given her my number if she needs to talk or wants to gain some assistance. Karen Burden AUFORN NSW

12.01.00 CABOOLTURE, QLD (GHOST/POLTERGEIST/CE1)

Shape: Triangular shaped object
Size: Large
Objects: 1
Colour: Red arrow head shape on triangular object
Witnesses: 1

Jill was Sitting in lounge after ironing for 3 hours, decided to watch TV (had fan on - very hot). Baby was asleep behind me. All of a sudden a Thick White Cloud walked ‘THROUGH’ the fly screen door, across the kitchen, into the living room, was in front of the TV (couldn’t see TV - Cloud was very thick) then went to the wall near the TV and faded. Noticed out in back yard looking through the screen door and some shade cloth on the deck that there was a large triangular shaped object with a red arrow head looking thing on it. The Cloud/Mist had no shape to it other than it was approximately 4 feet square in total size.

Since the incident, approx 2 nights later someone/thing taped Jill on the ankle (this has happened before in a previous residence). Jill woke up startled and saw a VISION of her mother having a heart attack and was quite disturbed because she had a feeling that she might be passing away soon. Jill has just come back from spending 2 weeks with her mum and she is actually ok.

However, 4 years ago her Brother died of cancer, they spoke of the afterlife and Jill mentioned after he passes away he might like to and visit!

Since her brother has passed away there has been pedestal fans hovering in mid air and falling over, photos flying off walls and shelves (mainly of mother - brother didn’t get on with his mother), baby bottles doing somersaults in mid air. Her other young daughter has also had the tapping on an ankle and blankets moving strangely around on top of her.

This report will be followed up further within the few days. We’ll keep you posted! Kay McCullock AUFORN QLD

15.01.00 REDCLIFFE, QLD 2030hrs (NL)
(Source: 1800 Freecall National Hotline Number - Callin Code: 00498)
Jim reports sighting an orange light in the sky over Redcliffe two Saturday nights ago (15 January) at 8.30pm. Working in the aviation industry, Jim is familiar with aircrafts and the usual characteristics of landing and taking off and the lights used etc. When a plane is coming into land they will turn on their landing lights, this was not the case.

Not having seen anything like this before, Jim was curious if anyone else had seen it and telephoned the radio stations, local papers and airport - nothing had been reported at that time.

Description as follows:
Orange ball of light the size of your small finger nail was moving inbound (i.e. north from Brisbane). First thinking it was an airplane coming into Redcliffe aerodrome, he watched it but was curious of the orange colour. The orange ball of light was moving slowly when it stopped and another orange ball (identical in colour) shot down from the first, this was repeated twice more. The light/s were not “flares” or “pyrotechnics” falling downward.

Jim estimated it travelled 1km in 8 secs before stopping. Last thought was it might be a balloon, until it shoot off in a westward direction moving quickly where it disappeared from view. Rita Robb AUFORN QLD

Mrs Bowe , husband and 6 friends were sitting outside when they witnessed a star like object that came from the North and heading South . The object came toward them before possibly zig zagging and heading straight up into space before being lost to the sight of the witnesses. A second object came 5 to 10 minutes later and followed the same pattern. The 2nd object followed a path parallel but not exact to the first. The object did appear to get a little brighter as it approached but the witnesses claimed it was very high and very bright and got smaller as it went away. The object was like a flame and displayed a definite change of direction. Doug Moffett AUFORN NSW

We live in Redcliffe/Brisbane and this light was high in the sky travelling from west to east, going towards the sea, it seemed to stop for a while over Moreton Island, and we watched until it went out of site, aprox 10 minutes. Has any one else seen this, as we are sure it was not a airplane.” Jan Stone AUFORN QLD

Colour: Bright white light, with reddish cone tail
Sound: None
Duration: 3.45am to 5.10am
Direction: East Hovering over Mudjimba Island (slightly to the North)
Witnesses: Pat asked around but no one else has come forward yet, she may ask the local paper to publish her story in the hope that someone else saw it.

Pat, a very well spoken, educated, older lady was staying at the Discovery Beach Resort on the Sunshine Coast (used to be the old Surf Air) on Friday night, 28th January 2000. Her room overlooked the ocean and the hotel was right on the beach.

At about 3.45am on Saturday Morning (29th) Pat woke up from a restless night, (Pat does have trouble sleeping) and saw a very bright light shining through the window of her room, Pat got out of bed and looked out the window and saw this light which Pat describes as 500 times that of a fluorescent light. She was looking out to the East over the ocean, Pat says there is a very small uninhabited island about half a mile out to sea from the resort called MUDJIMBA ISLAND, and the light was just above this Island about 2,000-3,000 feet up and slightly to the North of the Island. The light stayed in the same position and after about a hour. Pat noticed a shape, rectangle, with a reddish cone tail end. Then some little flashes of light came out the cone looking tail. Pat sat at the window watching this light until 5.10am when it started to move upwards and disappeared.

Pat says she has never seen anything like it before, and would like to know what it was? She has never thought about UFO’s before but it has now made her think about it and want to know more. She is familiar with the stars and says it was not a star. Jan Stone AUFORN QLD

The following case has lost much of its importance as the dates of the event/s cannot be pinpointed. It occurred six months ago and there are no other witnesses. Aaron was looking north-west when he noticed a bright light approaching that stopped and hovered as if watching him. Two helicopters and a light plane appeared and chased the light which headed west, rose rapidly and faded out or disappeared. It was surrounded by a blue aura. The following night Aaron woke up at 1am for a drink. Through the kitchen window he saw what appeared to be a black ‘man’ standing in the garden. No clothes were seen. Aaron felt a ringing sensation in his head and was overcome with fear. He fled to his mother’s room for sanctuary. Following this experience, he compulsively draws elaborate geometric patterns; talks in a strange tongue; has flying dreams and sleep paralysis; and has a raised psychic awareness. She was on the balcony of her unit at around 11.30 pm on the 20th January with her daughter and niece. It was a clear night when they saw one bright orange light which appeared to be hovering for a few minutes, then another came into view, this one overtook the other and headed in a North-West direction. She stated they looked like they were on fire and were glowing. No sound could be heard. She was uncertain as to their height. She did not see where they came from.

I noted however that they were not far from the industrial area where the Penrith hoax incidents took place early 2000. This incident seemed very similar to those of last year. I have asked her to call me on my mobile if she sees the same incident again. I am only fifteen minutes away. Karen Burden AUFORN NSW

late january 2001 SYDNEY (FAIRLIGHT), NSW 1340hrs (CE2)
(Source: 1800 Freecall National Hotline Number - Callin Code: 01491)
After reading the Manly Daily Gwen thought she would phone to tell of her experience which took place in late January 2001. She was resting on her bed for 10 minutes before visitors were due to arrive, it was 1.40 pm in the afternoon and her son was watching sports on TV in the lounge room. All of a sudden she said the floor started shaking and she could hear a noise which sounded like the sound barrier was being broken. She tried to get out of bed but couldn’t, she noticed a bright light outside of her window. Gwen lives on the second floor of a block of units and her bedroom window faces the side of the building, where a driveway is situated. A garage is under her unit. She stated the orb which appeared as a bright yellow light was actually a grey metalic lace looking ball underneath the light which had sharp points or spikes on it. The object she said was only about a foot in diameter, was hovering about 12 feet from the ground and around 8 feet from her window. She said it seemed to make an electrical sound whilst hovering and stayed there for a number of minutes. Her son at this stage was still in the lounge room and could not move either, he heard the noises etc but could not get up to see to his mother. Gwen mentioned that there was a red light illuminating from the top of the orb and a green type trail coming from bottom of the object. Gary and Camille watched amazed as six bright, star-like objects at forty-five degrees moved in and out of formation travelling south to north. The witnesses were looking eastwards as the objects moved slowly at first, but often moved rapidly when changing formation. They formed a circle, semi-circle and triangle moving up and down and from side to side. Gary phoned RAAF Pearce who claimed no planes were flying in the area at that time. The witness left home early to drive to Pipers River for work. A large bright light was noticed in the eastern sky. the witness did not take much notice until he saw that it was moving north. As he headed towards the Batman Bridge the light looked to be a mere 300/400m off to his left and 50m above the ground. It seemed to accelerate and gain elevation going ahead of his car over the next hill. From the Batman Bridge he observed a light over Hillwood which travelled northwards as he took the road to Pipers River when he lost sight of the light due to the trees. The light was seen again from the Old George Town Road (6.10am) but at an higher elevation and disappearing in the early morning light. Venus on the 5th rose at 5.55am so that the light seen from Beaconsfield must have been something else. However, the elevated light fading in the morning light from the Old George Town Road may well have been the planet. Paul Jackson TUFOIC

Bianca was outside her house when she saw a bright orange/yellow light in the sky about 45 degrees above the horizon and around the size of a five cent piece at arm’s length. She stated it was moving very slowly, almost appearing stationary at times. Some flickering of the light was apparent. She called out to her boyfriend, Mum and Dad to come out and see it. The other people came out and saw it, then Bianca went inside to grab her binoculars. Just before she went inside she noticed a plane traveling east, she then ran inside and by the time she came back out the light had disappeared. Her mother stated it just wasn’t there anymore. Her mother thought it initially appeared to be over the suburb of Frenches Forest. No one else in the family thought it was worth phoning up about, but Bianca thought it was important enought to be reported. Karen Burden AUFORN NSW

Chris was driving along Showground Road, Castle Hill on Monday evening around 10.05 pm. He noticed in the South-Western Sky a bright purple light. He stated the light was not twinkling, was stationary and was around four times larger than one of our closest stars. He stated from the time he noticed it, the light hovered for around 20 seconds and then it took off like a bullet further away to the South-West, accending as it accelerated. He stated it was definitely bright purple in colour and that the middle of the car window he was looking did not have any window tint that could have given a false impression. He stated there would have to be other witnesses as there were so many cars on the road at the time. Karen Burden AUFORN NSW

A number of people were having a smoke outside their flat in the Launceston suburb of Newstead. They all noticed a bright shiny metallic something in the north-east sky. One of the witness was able to view the object with binoculars. It seemed to be losing elevation in the northern sky during the 5 or so minutes it was observed. It looked a bit like a teardrop on its side with some shading below. The strangest thing were two orange balls that were rotating around the perimeter of the object. The two balls were always on opposite sides of the object. Its method of disappearance was also a bit of a puzzle, it seemingly just disappeared in mid air. One second it was there, the next it was gone. Enquiries with Police, media, airports all failed to turn up an explanation or any other witnesses. Paul Jackson TUFOIC

Casandra was staying at a friends house at Kilcare Beach on the Queens’ Birthday long weekend. The house overlooks the ocean and is positioned on a cliff face. Early Saturday morning around 4:30 pm she noticed a bright light about 40-50 degrees above the horizon (N.E) which seemed to be changing colours and shapes. Casandra and a friend of hers grabbed two telescopes and set them up to get a closer look. She knew the unidentified light was not Venus as she had studied Astronomy herself for three years and could see Venus to the right of the light which was changing shapes.

Casandra noted that periodic clouds were not affecting the view as they were behind the light, so the light object appeared to be within Earth’s atmosphere. She then went to wake up the house owner’s son, Terry and alert other house guests, there were now four witnesses in all. They were all surprised by the sight of the light and what it was doing, they kept taking turns looking at it through the telescopes.

The witnesses stated it appeared to flip inside and out, each time changing shapes from a circle with checker board shapes on it, to a distorted figure eight, to a square. The light continually changing into an array of colour groups; green, red, purple, blue etc. Casandra stated at times it looked like a strobe light and was as large as a 5 cent piece when looking through the telescrope.

What is interesting is that Casandra and her friend set up the telescopes and did not need to adjust there position for the duration of the sighting i.e 1.25 hours. When the light changed it’s shape continually though, Casandra stated it gave you the impression it was moving or bobbing up and down, but of course it wasn’t.

Casandra also stated that when dawn was breaking, the stars were diminishing from view, but that the unidentified light just stayed there, becoming more faded as the sun came up. Apparently even after dawn the unidentified light could still be seen for 15 minutes. Another interesting point is that the next day the locals in the area were talking about all the groups of Whales that had been sighted that night and that they were not suppose to be migrating down the coast yet.

Casandra also stated she is sure the unidentified light was there again on Sunday night, but further away in the distance. Casandra is sending some photos of the light, if the pictures turned out. She did fortunately have a zoom lense attached to her Camera at the time. So with a bit of luck.....

I will be investigating this event further. Karen Burden AUFORN NSW

This reportee is a courier. On Monday at around 3 pm he was driving in Dee Why along Oaks Avenue just past the round about when his engine seized, nothing would work. He got out of the vehicle after putting the van in neutral, took the break off and tried to push the van off the Road, it wouldn’t budge He then went accross the Road and rang his Boss to get someone else to do his pickup and also rang the NRMA. When he went back to his van he tried again by putting the gear into reverse to clutch start it. He then tried to start it once again the usual way and guess what it worked. He has been driving the van since Monday and it hasn’t played up so far. The strange thing is a colleague has just experienced exactly the same thing. He will be talking with him tomorrow. I asked him to find out exactly where this driver was at the time of his incident. Apparently it also happened on the Monday, but later on in the afternoon.

Shape: Disc shape [saucer shape] Objects: 2 Colour: Dull Yellown Sound: NIL Duration: 10 mins Witnesses: 1

On Saturday 16.6.01 night at around 10.50pm, Paul was outside with his dog. He looked up at the night sky and noticed 2 dull yellow lights. Originally Paul thought that they were just 2 stars, but then he noticed that the lights were moving and as they drew closer to his position, took on the look of discs. Paul also noticed that his dog started to act funny as the lights came closer.

Paul watched the 2 objects for approx 10 mins, he stated that they had come into his line of sight from a 45-50 degree angle from the horizon, and as he watched, the top one came down towards the other, so it looked like the top one was covering the bottom one.

Then after 10 mins, the top one, took off straight up, while the other one stayed. He continued to watch it for a minute or two more, but by then the cloud cover had moved in properly, so he didnt know what happened to the 2nd object, whether it was still there or had also departed. He said, that there had been a large gap in the cloud cover and that is where he was looking/watching the 2 objects.

There was no noise, and Paul being a photographer said that he has a good idea of how light can play tricks etc. So, he went through a process of elimination, by himself.

He phoned the local Parafield Airport and asked if there was any traffic for that time of night, they answered “No”. He then phoned the Edinburgh RAF, and Adelaide Airport and got the same answer of “No”.
He also then went through the thoughts of ‘helicopter’ so he phoned the local police to ask if they may have had their helicopter out doing a search to which again the police replied “No”. He also ruled out satellites, as they dont tend to move down to come on top of one another, then one move straight off upwards, etc.

Note:
Paul also asked me if other people had phoned in to say they had seen something that night.
I explained to Paul that funnily enough for the last 3 weeks, we had been receiving calls to the UFO Hotline from around that area ie: Munno Para/Craigmore.
Paul said, yes that Munno Para/Craigmore where near where he was - Elizabeth Park.
I also told him, that those people had witnessed 3 orangey/reddish lights in a rough triangle formation.
But! that they had also been travelling in the same direction at about the same height above the horizon.

I am keeping a record of these sightings in this area. As for calls to be coming in 3 weeks running and everytime it has been on a SATURDAY night at 10.30-11.00pm that people have witnessed these lights/objects. I know that the Edinburgh RAAF is close by, but, apart from the Global Hawk which has now a few weeks back, Edinburgh is not known to house any ‘unusual aircraft. Charmaine Ballam AUFORN SA

His wife noticed three bright orange lights in the Eastern sky at about 90 degrees from the horizon. The lights were pulsating simultaneously and were positioned in a triangular formation. After 15 minutes the lights were no longer present.

The reportee stated he did not see them leave. He just looked up again and they were gone. All those present at the celebration saw the three lights in question. They could not judge the height at which the lights were hovering. Reportee: Dominique was with a friend on his Balcony on the 23/6/01 at about 2.30 am when they saw an orange/red light in the sky. The reportee stated it looked as if it was flying above Erskin Park Road, St Clair. He states it was the size of a 10 cent piece at arms length and was heading West.

He stated it was very slow but appeared to be rotating like the fire crackers you can buy that spin around on the ground when you light them and the sparks or flame push out from the ball of light (rotating Clockwise). It did not flicker or pulsate at all. They watched it for around 15 minutes or so.

They noted that it turned slowly and seemed to be flying parallel to the Great Western Highway for a few minutes as far as Woodville Road. He then noted it did an abrupt turn and headed South-East at a tremendous speed and accended 45 to 50 degrees as it did. He lost sight of the object within seconds.

The reportee at first glance thought it may have be a helicopter considering the height at which it was flying, but at closer inspection he thought otherwise, it looked nothing like a helicopter and also there was no apparent noise. Karen Burden AUFORN NSW

Reportee: Richard: On Tuesday evening at around 6:15 pm Richard and his son were driving along Narellan Road travelling towards Campbelltown when they noticed an orange light in the sky. It appeared in the South-Eastern sky at about 15 degrees above the horizon. Richard stated they were at the highest point on the Road way when they first noticed it.

The reportee stated that the orange light was lightly pulsating and that it couldn’t be attributed to cloud cover as it was a clear night. It seemed to be travelling at a similar height to that of the planes that pass over the Campbelltown area, but not on the same flight path.

The orange light seemed to be heading toward Liverpool. No other lights were apparent and the light was not similar to that of a plane. When Richard pulled up at the stop lights at the intersection of Narellan, Blaxland and Gilcrest Avenue, which is a major intersection, the light could still be clearly seen, even in this lit up area.

The reportees said the object looked at least three times bigger than Mars is at the present time. When Richard and his son drove off from the main intersecton they pulled off to the side of the Road and got out to have a better look. The orange light projected the same intensity the whole time they were observing it until it faded from view due to distance. Richard thought this light first appeared over the area of Wollongong.
