My cousin Isabelle Potter told me about her experience recently that occured between 8 & 9pm whilst driving from Tewantin south towards Nambour on the Bruce Highway with the pine tree plantations lining each side of the road. Suddenly the dark night was lit up as if daylight and then looking for the source of the brilliant light she saw an enormous silvery-blue craft that was elongated, concave beneath & domed on top. After observing it for a few moments it flew off at tremendous speed, the brilliant light illuminating the countryside vanished & she found it hard to see the road with her headlights as her eyes had adjusted to daylight conditions.

On her car radio, she heard the announcer of station 4GO Nambour being flooded with lots of reports corresponding to what she had just observed. Then she reached a service station & pulled in & the people there were also talking excitedly about it. She expected to hear or read about it the next day but nothing was mentioned. Just want to report a couple of sightings I had a few years ago, I thought about reporting them to the authorities but decided against it. I am a former Army Reserve Soldier and former Manager in a Government Commission, in both cases I was trained to observe and report details meticulously. (See other report 09.09.01 nr. Mt Gambier, SA 2115hrs (NL)

My first sighting was at 2.15am on July 15th 1999 on the Highway between Mount Gambier and Naracoorte. I was travelling in the direction of Mt. Gambier, approximately 10 Km north of the Nangwarry township. It was a relatively clear night with some scattered low clouds and some ground mist. I was travelling at about 120 Km/hr listening to the radio when it cut out. As I looked over to the radio my eyes caught sight of some lights in the sky, three of them in a triangle formation.

As I looked harder I noticed the area inside the triangle was black (ie no stars while the surrounding sky had stars in it.) I looked at the vehicle clock instinctively to record the time and noted it was 2.15am. At this point I temporarily ran off the road (fortunately not hitting anything). After slowing down and regaining control I noted that the triangle was now a little ahead of me, as it flew over some pine forest about a Kilometer away I could see its lights striking the top of the pines so it was at that time flying low. I stopped my vehicle, to ensure that it was really moving and not my imagination and it continued to move, still basically parallel to the road. I restarted and accelerated up to 140 Km/hr but it continued ahead of me and started to gain height. It then flew into a normal looking white cloud which was only marginally bigger than it was and it never re-appeared . As it disappeared the radio came back on. I checked the time and it was 2.19am so it only lasted 4 minutes.

The rest of the vehicles electrical system was not disrupted in any way. I would estimate that the size of the triangle based upon when it flew low over the pines would place it at around 150-200 feet long and about 3/4 as wide (although it was veiwed from an angle so it may have been wider).

My second sighting was on September 9th 2001. I had taken a friend from the US for a drive in the local forests South East of Mount Gambier to show her some of our wildlife at night. As we were returning to Mount Gambier along a track bordering a Pine Forest and open farmland, the lights of Mount Gambier were clearly visible about 10 Km to the North west. As it was a clear night we stopped and got out to have a look, we were in a slightly elevated position. As we looked towards the city we saw a bright light moving across the city in a south easterly direction.

The time was 9.15 p.m. As we continued to observe it it grew brighter as it was heading in our direction. We initially thought it was the landing lights of a plane circling the city before landing at the airport, but as it continued towards us it changed in color from a bright light to a subdued orange glow. I noted that there were no red and green lights which planes normally have.

As it passed overhead at approximately 300 meter’s I could clearly see that it was a cylindrical object, it gave off no sound whatsoever, I would estimate it was travelling at around 600 km/hr as it passed over very quickly (much quicker than the normal aircraft flying in and out of Mount Gambier). We watched it until it basically faded into the southwest sky. The time when we lost sight of it was 9.18 p.m. When we returned home, my son and his friends also said they had seen a fast moving silent light when they were coming back from Millicent to the west North west of Mt. Gambier. They had no idea of what time they saw it, but it was probably not long before I saw it.

There were no news reports in the local papers of either of my sightings which is why I have been reluctant to say anything until now.

25.11.02 EDGEROI (bet. MOREE & NARRABRI), NSW 2040hrs (CE1)
(Source: 1800 Freecall National Hotline Number - Callin Code 2760)
Duration of sighting: 3 seconds approx
Light colour: red/green
Apparent size: Two road lanes wide
Shape: Unknown
Noise: None
Objects observed: Single
Activity when object seen: Driving
Other witness’s: Girlfriend

Peter was driving down the Newell Hwy at 8.40pm DST on the 25th of November just before Edgeroi (just outside of Narribri), with his girlfried in his truck. They had the windows down and were talking, the radio was not on.There was no vehicles in front of him and a car a long way behind. Peter suddenly noticed an object to his left hand side. The object had two red lights at the front, two red lights at the back and two green lights on the edges of the middle, no shape could be determined. The object was approximately 50 mtrs away from the truck at about telegraph pole height.

When first noticed by Peter the object was travelling at right angles to the ground, with the lights at a North/South configuration. It appeared to Peter that the object was either taking evasive action to miss the truck or was trying to show him something. When Peter got the attention of his girlfriend (who had not sighted the object due to it’s incredible speed) the object had now flattened out to a more conventional East/West configuration and only the rear red lights could be seen, this was viewed through the open driver’s side window on the right hand side.

The geography of the area in question consists of very flat plains. The object maintained it’s very low altitude over the plains to disappear within 1.5 to 2 seconds over the horizon. Peter stated that the object was like “something out of “Star Wars” and was the quickest thing he had ever seen”. No noise was heard during the sighting. The object was estimated to be about the size of two road lanes by Peter.

Peter rang Coonabarrabran Observatory, Police and various observatories before calling Williamtown Air Base, who referred Peter to the Hotline Number. When Peter got to Edgeroi, he had cold shivers for three hours after the encounter. Previous to this encounter, Peter had not given any thought at all to possible ET visitation, he is now convinced he saw something totally unexplainable.

Due to the sincerity of the witness and the facts pertaining to this case I have no doubt Peter saw a genuine UFO. My personal belief is that Peter saw an ET craft. Peter is going to call back in the next few days to the general store in Edgeroi to see if there are any other reports and will phone the Hotline if there is. I did not feel comfortable asking Peter about missing time/abduction scenario’s as he was experiencing difficulty dealing with what had just happened to him as it was, perhaps later. 30.11.02 BELLATA (bet. MOREE & NARRABRI), NSW 2117hrs (CE2)
(Source: 1800 Freecall National Hotline Number - Callin Code 02762)
Duration of sighting: 2 minutes approx
Light colour: orange/white
Apparent size: Lights appeared 6 foot apart at apparent perspective
Shape: Unknown
Noise: Magnified sound of ocean roaring x 25 plus times in quadraphonic surround sound
Objects observed: Six lights flying in formation
Activity when object seen: On 100,000 acre property opening gate
Other witness’s: Wife

John is a professional shooter and was opening a gate on the 100,000 acre property he was working on when he noticed six orange/white lights moving in formation heading West/Southwest of his position. The lights formed a rectangular pattern with the bottom three lights slightly in front of the top three. The objects held this formation during the course of the sighting. John has been a professional shooter for 25 years and has spent 70% of nights in paddocks but noticed that these lights seemed out of place in the night sky.

John viewed the lights through the scope of his gun at one point, but the lights only appeared bigger, without definition of shape. The lights were of an intermittent nature, with some on and some off as they &quot ripped across the night sky & quot “faster than any plane or jet in John’s many observations of same”. As the objects approached approximately 12 o’clock high, John noticed a noise he first thought was the wind. As the objects moved from 12 o’clock to 3 o’clock, the sound increased to such an extent that John in a somewhat frightened state went into his four wheel drive to put the spot lights on fearing " something & quot “was going to ram him”.

John described the sound like something coming at you. At this point it became the sound and not the lights that created most consternation for John and his wife. John described the sound as surrounding him and being like the roar of the sea magnified 25 to 40 times. Interestingly, John stated that the sound did not hurt his ears and did not contain the harsh shrill of jets, nor did the windows of his four wheel drive rattle. The noise grew to a frightening crescendo before reducing in volume as the lights moved to 3 o’clock, this noise lasted for 20 to 30 seconds. At the peak of volume, John felt that the noise was terrestrial in nature and it was only after he made the correlation of the lights moving away and the sound decreasing that he made a connection. The noise was so loud at one point you could not hear yourself.

Due to John’s experience with night time skies, low flying jets, meteors, satellites and general familiarity with the night sky, as well as the sounds of the bush, due to his vocation and 25 years of experience, I find this an interesting case. I would estimate 80% of cases report no noise, 15% report low humming or whirring and only 5% where the noise becomes the overwhelming experience of the encounter. Obviously I found John to be sincere and logical in his reasoning, and find no reason to doubt his summation of events. The exact date of this sighting should be confirmed by Wednesday, when John checks his diary. Doug Moffett AUFORN NSW

Mr. Prem Observation: I saw two white UFO the third one was not white of colour but shinning as a aeroplane and not moving in the first place. The white object moved fast and came together. Then again moved tree times and all disappeared. Sighting Duration: 3 minutes. Doug Moffett UFOR(NSW)

12.01.03 ADELAIDE (CAMPBELLTOWN), SA 0415-0515hrs (NL)
(Source: 1800 Freecall National Hotline Number - Callin Code 02809)
Object: Very bright white light larger than the brightest star he’s seen.
Movement: None, stationery
Trajectory: Static, low on horizon east of southern cross
Conditions: Clear, before dawn
Witnesses: 1
Reportee: 35 year old Security Guard

Tim was driving home from night shift when he noticed a particularly large, bright white star. Having done night shift for a long time he had not seen this star before, and has not seen it since. He felt that if it was a star then it should have been there the next night. The star was larger and brighter than Venus, in fact he stated several time she had never seen a star so bright and he had done night shift for a long time. He watched it until dawn.

Interesting note: He reported the object at 4.15 in the morning. It was still dark and Adelaide Airport has a curfew from 11.00pm until 6.00am, being in a residential area. Around 40 minutes after his call to the hotline, a jet was seen (5.00am) in the area of the “star”, followed about 30 minutes later (5.30am) by another jet. Reportee says they were not passenger aircraft but more like military jets. Duration: Approx one hour. Debbie Payne AUFORN SA

On Monday, January 13, 2003, at 11:10 p.m., two people spotted a trio of red-orange UFOs over Sydney.

Paul Van Komen, who lives in the suburbs west of Sydney’s Central Business District, reported, “Dominika went outside to move the garden sprinkler. Walking back, she looked up to absorb a clear view of the Moon and Orion’s Belt in a gap in the clouds when she noticed three spheres below the clouds to the east of us and called out to me.”

“I joined her outside,” Paul added, “it was immediately apparent that this was not normal air traffic. They glowed orange-red, made no sound and traveled slowly in a westerly direction.”

“The first sphere was larger and maintained a steady speed and luminosity. The other two stopped occasionally and dimmed and brightened. They took a couple of minutes to get about 10 kilometers [6 miles) west of us, then faded and disappeared. They were several times larger than airplanes. Normal air traffic was absent for another half-hour after.”

Paul estimated the UFOs’ speed as “about 100 kilometers per hour” (60 miles per hour--J.T.)

After Chris reported his initial sighting on Tuesday Febuary 11th. he has been watching the sky hoping to see it again. On Wednsday morning Febuary 26th at 6am Chris went out onto his balcony at Brighton le Sands to smoke a cigarette. It was morning twilight, the sun had not yet risen and the stars were still visible in the sky. He looked up to the area of sky where he had previously seen the light object and suddenly it appeared again out of nowhere. It moved forward in a zig zagging motion and then disappeared before his eyes. He called out to his girlfriend who joined him on the balcony. As they both scanned the sky it suddenly appeared again in the same spot, moved forward in a zig zagging motion again and then suddenly disappeared like switching a light off. The sighting lasted approximatly 10 to 30 seconds. Chris is an avid sky watcher, he has seen satellites and meteorite showers and is adamant that what he saw was different. 05.03.03 ADELAIDE (O’SULLIVAN BEACH), SA 2230-2300hrs (NL)
(Source: 1800 Freecall National Hotline Number - Callin Code 2873)
Duration: 15 seconds
Lights colour: Bright intermittent flashes of light
Apparent size: slightly larger than the regular satellite or star.
Shape: Star
Noise: silent
Traveling: Erratic movement along a NNW to SSW
Conditions: Clear, warm night. Very clear view of the night sky.
Objects observed: 1
Activity when seen: Outside drinking coffee.
Other witnesses: Daughter

Ann had gone outside to sit and have a coffee on the western side of their beach front home when she noticed a bright flash of white light out to sea and above the water on the horizon. This was then followed a few seconds later by another flash and so on until the object disappeared after about 15 seconds. Ann called her 16-year-old daughter who also saw this. It was too fast for a plane and too close for a satellite.

She also brought up an event 20 years earlier on the south coast of SA when she and a friend witnessed a large triangular shaped object, defined by a row of red lights down each “wing” at Cape Jervis. This un-nerved them enough to go straight home. Debbie Payne AUFORN Adelaide

I was with some friends in a (West?) Sunshine parking lot in front of some shops. It was the 7th of April. I don’t know the exact time but it was dark. Was before 9pm because the shops were still open for a bit afterwards. One guy saw something in the sky and I went to see what it was.

It appeared to be an orange fireball. The colour didn’t fluctuate. it moved from the left of the horizon to right. It looked like it was fairly close and low in the sky. It was round and had a flame erupt from it in the opposite direction it was travelling. The flame was low velocity (not shot out like in a jet. more like a simple fire burning) and didn’t appear to be affected by wind. I cant recall exactly, but I think that the flame stopped after a short while. It also didn’t make any sound. Which is why I think none of the shoppers noticed it. The ball moved low in the sky and gradually started to move up and away from me.

I stopped observing it after about 2 minutes. About 5 minutes later, it was half way up the sky. It was a distant orange glow. another 5 minutes later, it was too far to see. I assume it would’ve been in space by now. Which must mean that its velocity gradually increased as well.

It was not a hot air balloon. nor was it any kind of jet, and if it was, it would not use afterburners for that long. not a meteor, those travel much faster and go down not up.

What got me about this thing is that it always looked the same from any angle and its colour and intensity never changed. It looked clear from far away, until it got too small to see. That’s about all I can think of right now.

L and his colleague work as security guards in the Sydney metropolitan area.

On 15th May at 2:15am they were driving towards a railway crossing at Bankstown when L happened to look at the Moon approximately 30 degrees west, 98% towards full phase. The night was relatively clear with some patchy clouds. Incredibly L noticed a rectangular object (width equivalent to the span of two fingers at arms length) slowly cruising from a northerly aspect towards south, in transit with the Moon.

As it passed (speed similar to a light aircraft), it flared up for a split second. Other than a black feature, no other colour or outline was evident to the observers. L pulled over and continued to watch the anomaly as it passed the Moon. At first he thought it was a light aircraft, but as it went out of the Moon&Mac226;s field, the unknown increased in mass (now at four fingers width at arms length) and transmutated into an oval shape (or possibly altered it&Mac226;s angle) while slightly increasing speed.

L said that it looked like a circular black patch passing through a cloud. But this black patch showed no details of the night sky in the background, therfore it wasn&Mac226;t transparent. The anomaly was slowly disappearing towards the south and the two carried on driving after watching the event for around 5 minutes. The only conversation that took place was when L asked his colleague, “Did you see that?” His question was simply acknowledged. Attila Kaldy UFO Society Western Sydney

I was watching a highschool soccer game when the object was sighted. I was looking up to my right (north-east). It was distinct because it was in a very clear blue sky (no clouds) with only the sun in sight (the object was close to the sun and in the same direction of the sun).

While covering my eyes from the sunlight, this object hovered (it looked like it was moving slowly from left to right)

The very strange thing was, it was suddenly gone! as if someone turned off the light of the crescent moon, in that clear sky. The whole sighting was about 5 seconds. I don’t think it was an airplane (planes dont vanish in thin air). No one else saw it. I think everyone was looking at the opposite way because of the soccer game.

Colour/Shape: It resembles a ‘daylight crescent moon’ (if you’ve ever seen one) however it’s not that big. The object can be described as the letter ‘c’, I mean not inverted letter ‘c’ moving from left to right, but a letter ‘c’ moving from left to right (backwards). Colour is white, maybe reflecting the sunlight,

Height & Speed: I have no idea about the height, but it’s quite high, as high as planes usually fly at. Andri Hendrawan

Sue and her husband were in their loungeroom on Sunday the 8th June when they noticed an amber coloured light through their window. It was moving from North to South and apparently was lower than the usual planes that fly from South to North on a regular basis. They noted it was around 19:45hrs and when they went out to get a better view they noticed their was no noise and the amber/orange colour of the object seemed to fade in and out and looked as if the size was fluctuating as well.

They also spotted another two moving down the coast within an hour of the last sighting. They were all the same colour and size and were also heading in the same direction. Karen Burden AUFORN NSW

Pam was on her coffee break at TAFE CBD and was standing outside on the balcony when she noticed a bright star in the sky. She stated that she was watching it when an object came along side it? and remained stationary. She then noted another one approaching that also pulled up to the right of the object but some distance from it. She thought it strange. She watched them for over ten minutes when the one who had arrived last, moved off.

Just then she noted that the one she had noticed in the first place was moving towards her direction. Pam stated it was heading East, towards the Ocean. Karen Burden AUFORN NSW

On Friday evening 20th June between 7.45pm to 7.50pm James observed what he perceived to be an aeroplane on fire or an asteroid. He was walking along the pathway to his house in Moss Vale, facing North West, when he noticed 2 bright yellow objects in the sky.

They were starlike but very bright and as he looked he saw a bright piece fall off the first object. He called his wife out to see also. James said that they were tracking south, slowly dropping in altitude he and his wife eventually lost sight of them behind trees. He was pretty sure it was an aircraft on fire and expected to see it on the News, but there was no mention. He bought the newspaper next day expecting to read about it, but once again there was no mention.

He rang the military at Goulburn because the sighting was over Goulburn way, but got a negative response. He thought then that it must have been an asteroid, meteorite, comet or something and he rang the observatory. Once again he got a negative response. He finally rang the hotline number declaring to me, I’m a non believer, but this was quite odd. Please let me know what it was, it must have been something. I explained to James about the garbage bag phenomena, but he said no, it was nothing like that. Larraine Cilia UFO Society Western Sydney
