Sydney, A flying saucer nest has been found in a swamp about one mile east of the airport at Bankstown, an outer western suburb.

It I s an almost symmetrical 20 ft. diameter circle of flattened reeds and is almost identical to the five "nests" found in swamp land near Tully Queensland, last month.
Two boys Robert Dennis and Larry Stewart of nearby Yagoona made the discovery as they took a short cut through the swamp on their way home from school. (Wirephoto).
Mrs. Maureen Clunne of Punchbowl, said today she and neighbours had seen mysterious white lights each night near Bankstown Airport.
Mrs. Maureen Clunne of Punchbowl, said today she and neighbours had seen mysterious white lights each night near Bankstown Airport.
"last night I saw a single very bright light hovering in the sky about 9.p.m." she said. When the position of the nest was described to her, Mrs. Clunne said the light she saw was very close to it.

The nest looked as if it had been flattened by huge disc. The tall reeds had been depressed into the mud as if by some tremendous force, and were in a perfect clockwise position. Robert Dennis said he and Larry Stewart fist noticed the nest on February 14th

THE BOYS NOTICED PUNGENT SMELL.

"We always take the same track home from school and we are sure the nest was not there the previous Friday he said. "When we found it we noticed a particular pungent chemical smell which seemed to hang in the air. "The reeds also were bent at the base and not broken.

"We have noticed ourselves that if you try to flatten the reeds they break off at the stem." He said the nest seemed to have been forced by some huge downdraft of air moving in a circular motion.
